Please read our Sales Policy below, before buying our rabbits, it will help things move along smoothly.

All rabbits sold by B & F Hobby Farm and Rabbitry  are sold under the following conditions.
1.  Buyers must be over 18 years of age or have parental permission.  Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis in the event of a youth breeder/exhibitor depending on circumstances.
2. I do not accept checks at any time due to some issues with them. I do accept money orders and cash. Those are the means I accept for down payments on my rabbits, when coming to pick up rabbits please bring cash, and in the exact amount as I rarely have cash on me I appreciate your understanding on this matter! Thanks :) A rabbit will not be considered sold until Funds have been verified, nor will rabbit leave my possession until the funds have been verified as received.
3.  Rabbits are sold on a first come first serve basis unless prior arrangements have been made.  We do maintain a waiting list for sales as well as a request list if we do not currently have an animal you are waiting for.  Animals being animals we cannot guarantee the outcome of any litter we attempt to breed.  Once a litter is weaned we will contact wait list and request list customers if we feel an animal we have will fit their purposes.  We typically wean at 8  weeks of age. All show & Brood animals will be tattooed in the left ear prior to leaving B & F Hobby Farm and Rabbitry and will be accompanied by a complete pedigree (as complete as possible). I will also sell rabbits for just meat purposes, and they will be sold with out pedigrees and tattoos.

4.   A 50% deposit is required to hold any animal.  Time frame for holding animals with a paid deposit will be determined on a case by case basis based on the individual animal involved.  If the animal will need to be held for an extended period of time (based on the individual animal and sales circumstances), a separate Maintenance Holding Fee may be required to cover costs of holding the animal for an extended period.  Deposits will be forfeited by the buyer if the animal is not picked up at the designated time.  Deposits are only refundable in the event of sickness or death of the animal BEFORE pick up.  No exceptions.  Buyers in this case will be offered a comparable animal if one exists, to be added to the wait list for such an animal or to receive their deposit back.
5.  All rabbits sold will be of good health.  Buyer should inspect rabbit at time of purchase.  You are agreeing that the rabbit is of good health by completing the purchase.  No refunds will be made after the rabbit leaves my possession.
6.  B & F Hobby Farm and Rabbitry reserves the right to cancel any sale at any time if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animals welfare.  In the event of this type of cancellation, any deposit will be refunded.
7.  At this time we do not ship any animals.  Buyer is responsible for arranging pick up. Delivery of animals may be available on a very limited basis and would require a separate Delivery Fee to cover transportation costs. If you are out of state, there is a site called rabbit relay, they help you get rabbits that are too far away for you to get on your own. Here is the web site, http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rabbitrelay/
8.  Rabbits are living creatures and there is no guarantee on showing or breeding results of any rabbit sold by B & F Hobby Farm and Rabbitry.  We will do our best to recognize any disqualifications and/or issues based on the SOP for the breed prior to the sale of every rabbit.  We are not responsible for anything found after the sale of the rabbit.
9.  B & F Hobby Farm and Rabbitry reserves the right to change any or all of these Sales Policies at our discretion and without further notice.

Some little things to help you navigate this page:

Show Quality- This rabbit will come with a Pedigree and possess the proper traits to be a show rabbit and it will also make good breeding stock. However, this does not guarantee that the rabbit will win.

Brood- This rabbit will come with a Pedigree but it has some DQ's in show. However, it still has great type and can be used as breeding stock. Or it could also be an older Sr that has been showed but has since been moved to the breeding side of this business.

Pet Quality- This rabbit will NOT come with a pedigree, it has been decided that this rabbit does not possess the proper traits to become show or breeding stock.

Brood Proven- If the rabbit is a Doe, this means she has successfully given birth to a live litter and raised them on her own. If the rabbit is a Buck, this means he has successfully sired a litter.

Show Proven- This means they have been shown and placed.

On Hold- I have received the deposit to keep this rabbit reserved for someone else.

Pre-Sale- I am taking deposits to put these rabbits on hold/reserve. BUT, They will not be ready to leave the rabbitry for up to twelve weeks due to certain circumstances (such as age).

Junior- Under 6 months of age in our Netherland Dwarfs and under 8 months old in our Californians.

Senior- 6 months of age or older in our Netherland Dwarfs, and 8 months old in our Californians

Doe- Female                                                  Dam: The mother of a litter

Buck- Male                                                    Sire: The father of a litter

  Californian's

We have 8 Jr's up for sale, they are 3 months old. Parents information is on the Cal's page. The Dam is Big Momma and the Sire is Guy. They both come from some great show stock. Their kits should make great show and brood rabbits. The ones that turn out to be show prospects will be sold for 30 each, and the brood quality will be sold for 15 each both sets come with their pedigrees as full as we have them. Please drop me a line if your interested in any of them.

Update: 2/22/10

The show Jr's have won now 1 first place, 2 second places 3 third places of a large class, so they are doing pretty well on the tables.

  New Zealand's

  None at this time.

  Netherland Dwarfs

Schroeders 26 (Milly)

On Hold... Milly is now up for sale, we are asking 30 dollars for her. She is a great brood doe has given us some beautiful kits. She is a strong carrier of Lynx's, gave us a show quality Lynx kit her first time we bred her. He color background is Chestnut of course, Lynx, Opal, Lilac, and even a Black Otter in the way back. She has mostly Lynx and Chestnut though in her background. As you can see by her picture she hates to set up right, she is just a good brood doe, never was shown. She is a little long in her body and ears. But when bred with a good buck she has like I said before given us some great looking kits. Her sire who is a Chestnut had 14 legs, and her dam who was a Lynx had 1 leg, in her background there are 40 legs total, so as you can see she comes from some great show stock. Here are a few pictures of her kits too so you can see what she gives you when bred to a good buck.

  B&F Ebbie

Ebbie is 10 weeks old, she is going to be our up and coming star. We plan on showing her till we sell her, and hope to add some wins to her name before we do sell her. Her sire has a leg and won BOV and BOG among others that he has won, so she comes from some good show stock. We are offering Ebbie up for sale starting at $100, but of course the more wins she gets the higher her fee will go. So why not give her a chance to prove to you her worth.

  Update: 2/14/10

Ebbie won a second in her first show, the judge said she was only beaten by the other doe because she had a more mature head then Ebbie did. But for her being not even 3 months yet I think that is pretty good. He said he didn't have anything else to really fault her on, so I was glad to hear that. Her full brother Deano the Chestnut buck won BOV and BOG, so all in all we did quite well for our first time out.

  Update: 2/22/10

Ebbie has now won a BOSV and BOSG so she is well on her way to becoming a great winner. She should make any 4Her quite happy to have her in their show ring. Deano won another first place also, but he as for now isn't up for sale. Check back with us in a few months and we might decided to let him go.

  Pet Quality

Bubba is on sold but sweet Zip is still with us. These two were given to me by another breeder, they are only pet quality so not meant to be used as breeders or show. The little guys name is Zipper, he is fast and loves to investigate his area a very curious little guy. He will be a year on 5/21/10 so still a young guy that is in need of some love and attention. The bigger of the two I call Bubba, just because of his size, he weighs I think over 3 lbs. I can get his weight if your interested. He is more of a calm guy, just willing to sit in your arms and snuggle. His birth date is 8/2/09, so he is also under a year, perfect age to train him to be your special pet. Their fee is 20 dollars each, drop us an email if your interested in either of these two.

  Update: 2/22/10

We have sold both the Tradition 500 scale and one of the two WeighMax postal scales. But for those who are interested in the WighMax scale we might be able to get some more just let us know if your interested in it or not and we will get back to you in-regards to them.

We have up for sale 4 different scales, 2 are WeighMax Postal digital scales brand new, 1 is a Taylor digital kitchen scale used, 1 is a Terraillon tradition 500 scale. Listed below is all the info on these scales and the price I am asking for each.

Taylor digital scale, was used a few times, but I found it to be too small for my Californians so it is up for sale. I paid $42.00 for it and that is all I want out of it. It is a perfect little scale for any smaller breed. I was able to even get my Californian Jr's on it, and it read their weight great. Here is the features

  • Weigh Out a Perfect Serving with this Digital Kitchen Scale
  • Glass Base ; Glass Platform
  • Shows Ounces
  • Easy to Clean
  • Maximum Weight Limit: 11 lb.
  • Dimensions: 9"L x 6.5"W x 0.5"H
  •   WeighMax postal scale, we got 2 of these up for sale, they are great little scales that will go up to 50 lbs. So should be a good scale for any breed of rabbit. We are asking 35 for each. I priced them out in the store they cost around 49.99, so this is a pretty good deal. They are bran new and never used. Here is the features:

     Max Weight Capacity 50 lbs

            Sensitivity +/- 0.2 ozs

Easy Buttons: On / Tare, Off: Hold Feature

Sold: Terraillon Tradition 500, we bought this at a rabbit show, paid 30 for it and that is what we want out of it. We are only getting rid of it because we found that I liked the digital better then this one. It was used a couple of time. I put a wire basket on it so it can hold up to even my larges Californians. There is a dial on it that sets it back to zero so the basket isn't considered in the weight. Here are the features on it.

The Terraillon Tradition 500* is a good quality basic mechanical kitchen scale with a 11 pound/5 Kg capacity, dual mode English/metric display and a large rotating dial display for easy use.

Features of the Tradition 500 scale include:

    • Easy to Read - oversized dial indicator for easy reading.
    • Dual Mode Display - display weight in pounds and grams. 11 pound / 5 Kg capacity. Dial major increments at 1 oz / 20 g.
